Salibu is modified ratoon rice which has advantages in economic and time-saving. Tungro disease is one of probable handicap for salibu to be controlled in their endemic area. Rice virus tungro disease is caused by Rice Tungro Bacilliform Virus (RTBV) and Rice Tungro Spherical Virus (RTSV) which are transmitted by leafhopper. The research goals are to know the growth of leafhopper population and the spread of the tungro disease in salibu and conventional rice farming system as well as their effect on yield. The research was conducted in split plot experiment and designed in a randomized block design. The main plot were 1) salibu system and 2) conventional system (non-salibu). The subplots were varieties 1) TN1 (sensitive variety), 2) Ciherang (commonly used by the farmer), and 3) Inpari 36 (tungro new resistant variety). The results revealed that the tungro attack rate, dry milled grain yield, and 1000 dry grain weight were significantly higher in conventional cultivation than salibu (P < 0.05). The number of leafhopper populations tended to be higher in salibu system than in conventional system. The number of natural enemies did not show a particular pattern related to green leafhopper's presence. The Shannon Wiener diversity index for natural enemies ranged from low to medium. Regarding to the results, salibu system is not recommended yet in the tungro endemic areas. Keywords: Salibu, rice tungro virus disease, green leafhopper, natural enemies

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh sistem tanam jajar legowo pada keanekaragaman arthropoda hama dan musuh alami pada lahan padi. Penelitian dilakukan mulai dari bulan Desember 2020 hingga Maret 2021 di lahan sawah dataran rendah pada Desa Kalisabuk, Kecamatan Kesugihan, Kabupaten Cilacap, Jawa Tengah. Identifikasi hama dan musuh alami dilakukan di Laboratorium Hama Departemen Hama dan Penyakit, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Brawijaya. Persiapan penelitian meliputi pemilihan lokasi penelitian, penanaman tanaman padi, persiapan alat dan bahan, dan penentuan tanaman sampel. Sedangkan pelaksanaan penelitian meliputi pemasangan perangkap, pengamatan mingguan, identifikasi arthropoda, dan pengolahan data. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif pada lahan dengan luasan total 1000 m2 untuk sistem tanam jajar legowo dan konvensional. Data yang didapatkan dianalisis dengan uji t 5% pada Microsoft® Excel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, arthropoda hama yang ditemukan berjumlah 5 ordo, sedangkan musuh alami berjumlah 7 ordo pada kedua lahan. Pada kedua lahan baik untuk hama maupun musuh alami mengarah pada keanekaragaman yang cukup baik berdasarkan hasil nilai dari beberapa indeks. Penanaman menggunakan sistem tanam jajar legowo tidak memberikan pengaruh pada populasi hama dan musuh alami berdasarkan hasil uji t yang dilakukan.

Arthropods are the largest phylum in the animal kingdom and are found in various ecosystems, including rainfed rice fields. This study aims to determine the diversity of arthropods and their diversity index. As well as the status of each arthropod in rainfed rice fields. The research method used is purposive random sampling, by determining the location point for arthropod sampling, which refers to the method (Sari et al., 2020). Samples were obtained by using 2 traps, namely sweep net traps, to catch active flying arthropods, or netting with a net for 10 double swings. The second is a pit fall trap, to catch arthropods on the ground. Using a beaker with a volume of 150 ml and placed parallel to the ground. The results showed that there was a diversity of arthropods of 35 species, including 28 species as natural enemies and 6 species as pests, with a diversity index of 2.91 which means that it is in the moderate category.
