Although electronic records management system (ERMS) is important in bringing about the productivity of organizations, majority of them refuse to implement it, while a few embark on implementing it blindly, without guidance, which often results in failure. This paper, therefore, proposed a model for the ERMS adoption to support the productivity and performance of higher professional education (HPE) institutions in the Yemeni context. This paper used the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) and a mixed explanatory approach to gather quantitative and qualitative data. Data were then analyzed through the use of SPSS 21, with SEM and Smart PLS V3 software used to test the proposed model. The model was also confirmed by five experts who were interviewed to obtain qualitative data. Based on the analysis results, all the fit indices met the recommended values range that assumed the acceptability of the developed model. The model was found to be of a good fit, and the theory upon which the model was developed was stable. The quantitative findings showed that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, policy, and training have a significant relationship with the ERMS adoption, which in return has a significant relationship with HPE organizations' productivity. This was supported by the qualitative results, confirming the theoretical study and contributing to the understanding of the ERMS adoption among HPEs. Such adoption ensures educational institutions' productivity.

Although the Electronic Records Management System (ERMS) is necessary for organizations to enhance their performance, many organizations are yet to embark on its implementation, while some others attempt at implementing it without model, thus leading to an ineffective and erroneous implementation. On the other side, researchers have already started applying cloud computing in ERMS implementations of education sector for its benefits. Therefore, this paper aims to propose a model for cloud ERMS implementation in an attempt to improve the Yemeni public sector educational institutions competency, using Technology Acceptance Model 3 (TAM3). The study used the quantitative approach through questionnaire that was used as instrument to gather data from 350 respondents working in the education sector of Yemen. Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) was used to predict the relationship between the constructs. The findings revealed that both dimensions of ERMS and Cloud are important in implementation of ERMS. The results also showed that ERMS has a significant relationship with the competency of the public sector educational institutions. This has arises implication whereby the public sector needs to pay attention to the factors found in the model in order to promote a successful implementation.

As a contribution to the ongoing tradition of critically assessing documents for research, this paper aims to highlight materiality as a key factor in the co-shaping of knowledge derived from digital documents. The paper first builds upon prior debates in document studies with work from the fields of Science and Technology Studies, and Communication Studies, to establish the role of document materiality in the interpretative process. By first establishing digital documents' material reality as electrical signal, the paper then discusses the interpretative role of software, in both the representation of that signal for human interpretation and the production of the document through software tools. Finally, the paper considers the implications for persistence and access to digital documents posed by their material reality and the private archival contexts in which they often reside.
