This study aims to analyze how the Al Bariyah Mosque is managed as a professional mosque model in the community of Hajimena Natar village, South Lampung, Lampung Province, Indonesia. The research was carried out using a qualitative method with a case study approach (single-case study). Sources of data were taken to several informants through in-depth interviews. The writer also took data by observation and document analysis to strengthen the interview data. All data were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman technique with the stages of collecting, reducing and analyzing data and drawing conclusions. Overall, the research findings found three forms of the Al Bariyah Mosque management process so that it becomes a professional mosque; the three approaches are i) direct supervision starting from planning to an evaluation of activities by mosque administrators, ii) involving the community activities in every planned mosque activity. , iii) establishing a transparent, professional and accountable mosque management. The findings in the study can be used as an example for other mosque administrators to manage mosques professionally in the community.

This study describes the religious experiences of minority Muslim communities in Tomohon, which have become an objective reality. Using the theory of Peter L. Berger, the author mapped the pattern of the social construction of tolerance values that exist for minority Muslim communities in Tomohon City. This qualitative descriptive research uses data collection in in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Based on this research, it can be concluded that the social construction of the value of tolerance for the Muslim community in the city of Tomohon proceeds in three stages. As explained in the theory of the social structure of reality by Peter L. Berger, namely the social construction of attitudes and ways of life of tolerance between religious people can be seen from the internalization of the subjective side of religion, understanding pluralism and perspectives and ways of life to tolerate between religious people carried out by parents on primary socialization, as well as internalizing attitudes and habits of life to tolerance between religious people in social life. The doctrine of religious teachings carried out by religious figures on secondary socialization strengthens this internalization process. Attitudes and ways of life of tolerance between religious people can become a subjective reality in each child or individual.

This research is motivate by one fact that cannot be denied for Indonesia, namely a multicultural society. A multicultural society has the potential to become a capital for the nation’s progress, but it does not rule out the possibility that it will become a gap and an opportunity for turmoil to arise, such as social conflict, intolerance, and even division. Providing education in the form of instilling the value of multicultural education from an early age is a form of strategic alternative efforts to suppress and prevent destructive social conflicts. Multicultural education is an attempt to build a person’s mindset to appreaciate diversity within a framework of equality in order to develop social skills. One of the formal education that implements and internalizes multicultural education through special programs in order to realize student’s understanding of the urgency of multicultural education is Sekolah Sahabat Alam. Sekolah Sahabat Alam holds an arts and culture festival at the end of each semester. The cultural festival functions as a concept to provide understanding to students so that they live with mutual respect, appreciation, and tolerance. The problem formulation of this research is how to apply multicultural education in cultural festivals at Sekolah Sahabat Alam in Palangka Raya. This research method was used descriptive research intended to describe the context of multicultural education in the cultural arts festival at Sekolah Sahabat Alam in Palangka Raya. Multicultural education is used as a concrete first step planting good things, this planting can be seen from several activities implemented by Sekolah Sahabat Alam; 1) Cultural festivals as tool for cultural encounters and seeds for seeding multicultural awareness 2) Multicultural education in the creativity of cultural festivals.
