The quality of education is largely determined by good school management by supervisors for a better quality of learning, not least in Vocational High Schools. This type of research is qualitative with a case study research design. The main target of this research is supervisors of vocational schools in Padang city. This research is limited to describing qualitatively the supervision process and identifying the constraints that occur in supervision. The data source of this research is from key informants, purposively. Data collection techniques with interview and observation techniques. Data analysis by coding, linking and, interpreting themes. The results of the research are the low professionalism of school supervisors and the low appreciation of the school supervisor profession. The conclusion is that the constraints were basically the result of improper recruitment patterns and were exacerbated by weak control mechanisms.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kinerja Guru PKN dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran serta mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 2 Mendoyo pada tingkat yang lebih baik dari siklus ke siklus, melalui pembinaan dengan menerapkan supervisi akademik. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan tindakan (action research) atau siklus sebanyak dua putaran atau dua siklus. Setiap putaran atau siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu: 1) Rancangan, 2) Pelaksanaan Kegiatan, 3) Observasi, dan 4) Refleksi/ Tindakan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu: observasi, tes dokumentasi dan wawancara. Hasil yang dicapai dalam Penelitian ini adalah: 1) Peningkatan kinerja guru PKN siklus I dengan nilai rata-rata = 6, 2) Peningkatan kinerja guru PKN siklus II dengan nilai rata-rata = 7,2, 3) Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa siklus I dengan nilai rata-rata = 74, dan 4) Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa siklus II dengan nilai rata-rata = 79. Kesimpulan dari Penelitian Tidakan Sekolah ini adalah penerapan supervisi akademik sebagai wahana pembinaan bagi guru PKN dapat meningkatkan kinerja Guru PKN dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran, serta berdampak terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI, MIPA.2 Semester Ganjil tahun pelajaran 2019/2020 SMA Negeri 2 Mendoyo secara signifikan.

The improvement of education quality is affected by teachers' performance. There are several factors that can influence teachers' performance such as problem solving skill and teachers' motivation while doing their duties. This research aimed to know the contribution amount of adversity quotient and working motivation to teachers' performance at elementary schools in Gugus VII Mengwi, in academic year of 2020/2021. The type of this research was ex-post facto. The sample was taken by total sampling technique in which 32 population members were selected to be the sample. Furthermore, the data were collected by reviewing teachers' performance documents and administrating questionnaire about adversity quotient and working motivation. The data were analyzed through descriptive statistics analysis and inferential statistics analysis. The result of this research shows that : (1) there is a significant contribution of adversity quotient to teachers' performance with correlation coefficient of 0.6315 and the percentage of the contribution is 26.98%, (2) there is a significant contribution of working motivation to teachers' performance with correlation coefficient of 0.6943 and the percentage of the contribution is 36.76%, (3) there is a significant contribution of adversity quotient and working motivation to the teachers' performance with correlation coefficient of 0.7984 and the percentage of the contribution is 63.74%. In conclusion, there is a significant contribution of adversity quotient and working motivation to the teachers' performance.
