Increasing production from rainfed rice field farming is expected to have direct implications to farmers’ income and food security. Improvement in farmers’ income will ensure the fullfillment of quality food. This study aims to analyze the contribution of rainfed rice farming to the household income and household food security of the farmers who cultivate rice in rainfed rice fields. This research was conducted in Maros Regency in three districts, namely Lau, Maros Baru and Simbang. The sample of this research was 100 farmers in rainfed rice fields. The research used survey method with the instruments of observation, recording and interviews. Data were analyzed using quantitative description coupled with t-test for independent samples. The results showed that the rainfed rice farming contribution to the household income in Lau, Maros Baru and Simbang District was 90.0%, 70.0%, and 57.5%, respectively. In term of farm household food security based on the share of food expenditure, the farmers’ households were food insecure with 73.33%, 83.33%, and 67.50% for each regions. This study suggests that farmers need to diversify their income source to crops other than rice. Such effort will be able to increase the income and food security of farmers’ households.JEL Classification Q12; Q18; R14

Indonesia is a country that is rich in agricultural products, this is because of Indonesia's natural conditions that support a large expanse of land and abundant biodiversity and has a tropical climate where sunlight occurs throughout the year so you can plant all year round. The reality of natural resources like that should be able to raise Indonesia into a prosperous country and meet the food needs of all its people. The water spinach cultivation research activity was carried out on March 14 – May 11, 2022. The research was carried out on the Food Agribusiness Field at the Lampung State Polytechnic. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. In the marketing of kale, it can be seen that the revenue is Rp. 172,000, the profit is Rp. 95,900, and an R/C ratio of 2.26 is obtained. R/C Ratio > 1, so that the kale business has an advantage economically. The B/C ratio is 1.26, which means that if the expenditure on the sale of kale is Rp. 1.00, the revenue obtained is Rp. 2.26. R/C Ratio > 1, so that the kale business has an advantage economically.

The purpose of this activity is to be able to manage the production process of sweet oranges and be able to carry out and organize production and post-production activities of sweet oranges. The activity was carried out for 3 weeks (starting from March 02–23, 2020) at the Tlekung Experimental Garden (KP), Research Institute for Citrus and Subtropical Fruits (Balitjestro), Batu City, East Java. PKL activities at Balitjestro were planned to be carried out until May 9, 2020, but had to be stopped on March 23, 2020 due to the Covid 19 pandemic in Indonesia. PKL activities are continued with guided street vendors for 9 days starting from June 02–09, 2020, so that they meet the minimum number of practice hours of 60%.The conclusion obtained is that the activities of managing and procuring production inputs for sweet orange agribusiness are realized in Balitjestro with a literature study on sweet orange cultivation and leaf pruning on citrus seeds. The activities of managing the production process of the sweet orange agribusiness business are realized in Balitjestro starting from the maintenance of citrus plants including the installation of mulch on citrus seed mounds, pruning of twigs on citrus plants, and thinning of citrus fruit plants. Other activities include planting beets and head lettuce.
