The main purpose of this research is to examine whether Hofstede's cultural values defined for Turkey is valid for tourism employees. The sample of the research is those who have worked in hotels in Diyarbakır for at least 1 year. Questionnaire was used as data collection technique in the research. In the research, purposeful sampling was used from non-probability sampling methods. Therefore, there is no objective such as generalization of the results of the research. The research data was collected between June 1-July 15, 2018. At the end of the data collection process, 209 employees have been reached. In order to determine the cultural values of the hotel employees, an explanatory factor analysis has been applied to the cultural values scale data. As a result of the factor analysis, it has been found that hotel employees have a culture as collectivist, long term-oriented, avoiding ambiguity, feminine and a low-power distance. As a result, it can be said that Hofstede's culture defined for Turkey is not valid for tourism employees in terms of power distance.
