The majority of research indicates that trait emotional intelligence (EI) plays a crucial role in personal well being; however, the deeper mechanisms of this link remain unclear. The study explored the impact of psychological empowerment and work engagement in the link between trait EI and job satisfaction. Female nurses (370) completed the EI Scale, the Psychological Empowerment Scale, the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale, and the Brief Index of Affective Job Satisfaction. The results of structural equation modeling demonstrated that work engagement partially mediated the association between trait EI and job satisfaction. Moreover, the serial one mediator model revealed that trait EI could influence job satisfaction via the serial mediating impact of "psychological empowerment-work engagement." These results help to a better understanding of the association between these variables and demonstrate that high trait EI may improve occupational well being from emotional perspectives.

One of the newest theories to gain widespread interest is authentic leadership. Part of the rationale for developing a model and subsequent instrument to measure authentic leadership was a concern that the more popular theory, the full range model of leadership and its instrument, the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) (Bass & Avolio, 1985), did not sufficiently emphasize aspects of leader emotional intelligence (EI), such as self-awareness .In its current configuration, the Authentic Leadership Questionnaire (ALQ) (Walumba, Avolio, Gardner, Wernsing & Peterson, 2008) Banks, McCauley, Davis, Gardner, and Guler (2016) found that, overall, authentic leadership is highly correlated with transformational leadership (k = 23, N = 5,414, rho = .72 (k = 47, N = 4,994, rho = .56) measures four dimensions of leadership: relational transparency, internal moral perspective, balanced processing, and self-awareness. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompensasi dan kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja guru. Inti kajian difokuskan pada kinerja guru yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor kompensasi dan kepuasan kerja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket denganpendekatan kuantitatif. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 43 guru honorer Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) di Kota Bandung. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) kompensasi terhadap kinerja guru berada pada kategori cukup efektif; (2) kepuasan kerjaterhadap kinerja guru berada pada kategori cukup tinggi; (3) kompensasi dan kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja guru berada pada kategori cukup tinggi; (4) kompensasi berpengaruh positif positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru honorer; (5) kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guruhonorer dan (6) kompensasi dankepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru honorer. Kata Kunci: kompensasi, kepuasan kerja, kinerja guruABSTRACT This research intended to analyze the effect of compensation and job satisfaction on the performance of teachers. The main of study focused on teacher performance is affected by factors of compensation and job satisfaction. The method used is a survey method. The technique of collecting data using questionnaires with quantitative approach. The respondents in this research were 43 honorary teachers on "SMK" in Bandung. The analyzed the data using multiple regression. The results showed: (1) compensation for the performance of teachers in the category is quite effective; (2) job satisfaction on the performance of teachers at a fairly high category;(3) compensation and job satisfaction on performance of teachers at a fairly high category; (4) compensation positive and significant positive effect on the performance of teachers' honorarium; (5) job satisfaction positive and significant effect on the performance of teachers 'honorarium and (6) compensation and job satisfaction positive and significant impact on the performance of teachers' honorarium.
