“…Pucci et al [5] studied the role of a fairy shrimp, namely, Chirocephalus diaphanus in the early recognition of environmental pollution by trace elements. Arsenic was one of the elements considered and it was measured by ICP-MS. Levels of 14 essential and potentially toxic trace elements in 11 species of Antarctic macro algae have been determined by inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) [12].
