This research analyzes processes of textualization in six samples of public speech in oral presentations and their association with the (re)production of a dominant and liberal view. The corpus covers six qualitative samples of public speeches which were taken at different times and events and given by two businessmen, two jurists and two political activists. In order to build a theoretical basis, a multidisciplinary dialogue was launched among some concepts from Textual Linguistics in its Brazilian research agenda, studies in Anthropological Linguistics and the Sociology of culture and Bourdieusian-based theory of practice. According to our view this dialogue gathers several analytical devices that enable us to analyze textualization in oral presentations as a linguistic phenomenon which constitutes broader social practices. Based on this, the hypotheses point out that discursive topics and thematic projects in these public speeches linguistically elaborate two broader processes: the contextual embedding of exhibitors' habitus and illusions in oral presentations, and the reproduction of dominant universalisms through such public speaking events. The methodological steps involved samples' transcription, subtopics, topical frames and thematic projects identification in the resulting data and also the description of the intersections between these results and those obtained through contextual and sociological analyzes. In the organization of the text, we first discussed the effects of seminars, conferences, forums and roundtables on the public and political sphere that has been increasingly occupied by agents linked to other fields, such as entrepreneurship, legal area, and to political activism connected to private organizations and think tanks. Secondly, we analyze how these agents' insertions in different social fields can be embedded into their public speech practices, where past contexts and habitus become the symbolic background to broader actions. Then we discussed the discursive topics and thematic projects present in each one of the sampleswhich enable us to realize that although topics may differ, common thematic projects also could be seen. According to these results, the exhibitors' thematic projects involve two main types of textualization actions: sustaining a liberal habitus or representing initiatives coordinated by the exhibitors themselves as solutions to social problems in Brazil. These actions occur through the discursive topics which compose a similar thematic project, when diagnoses, trajectories of agents, learnings or lessons and prognoses are presented to the audience. In spite of their similarity, there are distinct ways to adhere to these projects and each one is understandable according to the symbolic place of the presenters and their contact with different social fields. Finally, the results indicate the existence of an articulation among topics, thematic projects and forms of temporal indexical centering in these samples, in particular that can mark how a dominant and liberal view of ...
