The right to the environment is a basic right that must be fulfilled by the state because it is a human right, for the community without guarantees. Protection of the right to the environment is the state's obligation in this case the local or district government. This study aims to identify and discuss the protection of human rights for the rights of indigenous peoples due to coastal reclamation and the state's responsibility for the rights of indigenous peoples due to the absence of environmental permits in coastal reclamation activities. This type of juridical empirical research uses a literature review based on theories, doctrines, and legal norms related to the issues discussed. This research is analytical prescriptive by explaining the problems raised based on legal provisions, norms, and theories and then analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that the protection of human rights to indigenous peoples due to the absence of environmental permits would impact the rights of indigenous people,s in this case, the right to survival. Moreover, the land of customary territory has been transferred under companies that exploit natural resources and enrich themselves. This also worsens their right to survival. For that, the active role of the community is also needed when seeing something that is suspicious, which will impact people's rights. For this reason, it is also expected that the community and local governments must build cooperation so that the environment remains managed and utilized, following the principles of development sustainability

As problems of intolerance and disrespect of human rights escalate in this modern world, raising public awareness on human rights is considered an inevitable task for all. Intervention of promoting human rights in education field is believed to be playing an important role to address the problems. This study wants to collect information from its research subjects on the extent to which topics of human rights are being learned and taught in higher education institutions, and on the degree of effectiveness of different methods used to learn and teach human rights in higher education institutions, as to develop human rights knowledge and understanding of students. This study uses the technique of homogenous purposive sampling to determine the research subject. The research subjects are (1) students who take the course subject of Human Rights or Citizenship and (2) lecturers who teach either the course subject of Human Rights or Citizenship, in any higher education institutions in Indonesia. The questionnaire is developed using Google Form, and is distributed online. As the result of the survey for 445 students and 72 teachers of Indonesian higher educational institutions, most of them are familiar with the concept of human rights. The most significant sources of information on human rights are university lecturers, mass media, official documents, and publications. The most important level of education to receive knowledge and build understanding on human rights are secondary education, higher education, elementary education, and vocational education. General human rights, right to freedom of religion and belief, and right to education are fully developed. More of other rights, such as rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ), rights of migrants, rights of internally displaced persons, and rights of the poor, are expected to be more developed than they are now. The most effective methods are field visit/excursions, watching films, problem solving, and case studies. The least effective methods are arts (drawing and singing), writing essays and stories, and games.

This study aims to describe a comparative study of perceptions of terrorist stigma between male and female students at the University of Riau. How the terrorism and bombing cases that occurred in Indonesia were masterminded by certain religious groups using certain symbols and attributes, giving rise to a negative stigma perspective between male and female students at the University of Riau. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique in this research is a questionnaire consisting of five indicators and 19 questions. The data analysis technique in this study was using the Independent Sample T-test with the SPSS version 25 program. After testing the normality of the data with normal data results and testing the homogeneity of variance with homogeneous data results, then hypothesis testing can then be carried out. The results of the hypothesis test are 1,000 and the value of 1,000 > 0.05 (2-tailed < 0.05), then Ha is rejected and Ho is accepted. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is no difference in perceptions of terrorist stigma between male and female students at the University of Riau.--------------------AbstrakPenelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan studi perbandingan persepsi stigma teroris antara mahasiswa laki-laki dan mahasiswa perempuan di Universitas Riau. Bagaimana kasus terorisme dan pengeboman yang terjadi di Indonesia didalangi oleh sekelompok oknum agama tertentu dengan menggunakan simbol serta atribut tertentu, sehingga menimbulkan perspektif stigma negatif antara mahasiswa laki-laki dan perempuan di Universitas Riau. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu kuesioner/angket yang terdiri dari lima indikator dan 19 pertanyaan. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan uji analisis Independent Sample T-test dengan program SPSS versi 25. Setelah melakukan uji normalitas data dengan hasil data normal dan uji homogenitas varian dengan hasil data homogen, maka selanjutnya dapat dilakukan pengujian hipotesis. Hasil uji hipotesis adalah 1,000 dan nilai 1,000 > 0.05 (2-tailed < 0.05), maka Ha ditolak dan Ho diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan persepsi stigma teroris antara mahasiswa laki-laki dan mahasiswa perempuan di Universitas Riau.
