Academic research has resulted in monographs, book chapters and papers (see, for example, Jurafsky 2014;Temmerman and Dubois 2017;Tigner and Carruth 2018), and the connection between food and translation has given rise to scholarly events, such as the International Conference on Food and Culture in Translation (FaCT), held in Italy in 2014 and 2016.
