The compounds contained in Moringa leaves are rich in phenolic acids, flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, glucosinolates and isothiocyanates, all of which are antioxidants. Moringa leaves contain B2 which is useful for treating and maintaining skin moisture. Pineapple fruit contains vitamin C and vitamin A, the second vitamin is known to have antioxidant activity that can stop the reaction of forming free radicals. Moringa leaves and pineapple contain antioxidant compounds which are useful as skin moisturizers which are formulated in the form of a gel lotion. This study aims to determine the effect of using moringa leaf extract gel lotion and pineapple fruit on skin moisture. This study was initiated by formulating lotion preparations with the addition of concentrations of moringa leaf extract and pineapple fruit, namely concentrations of 3% (F1) 4% (F2) 5% (F3). Lotion gel was evaluated for physical stability by testing pH, viscosity, adhesion, spreadability, irritation test, specific gravity test and skin moisture test. This study uses an experimental method. The results showed that the formula concentrations of 3%, 4% and 5% all met the requirements of the physical stability test as a skin moisturizing lotion gel preparation. The higher the concentration of the extract, the wider the spreadability and viscosity value obtained, has no effect on adhesion and pH value. Lotion preparations of moringa leaf and pineapple fruit extracts with a concentration of 5% have a high ability as skin moisturizers. Asoka flower (Ixora coccinea) possesses pigments that can be used as natural colorants in decorative cosmetics. The use of natural colorants in decorative cosmetics is still limited and the demand for decorative cosmetics especially lip cream is increasing. This research aims to determine whether ethanol extract of Asoka flowers can be used as an alternative natural colorant in lip cream formulations. This research began with extraction of Asoka flowers using maceration method with 96% ethanol solvent and citric acid. Base was optimized using a single thickener and combination of carnauba wax and candelilla wax. Base was evaluated and formulated with flower extract. The formulation quality was determined through organoleptic, homogeneity, spreadability, adhesion, viscosity, and pH tests. The extraction results yielded a yield of 27,1%. Best base was bases F3, F4, and F5. Formulations using Asoka flower extract with 2%, 4%, and 6% produced sequentially light brown, reddish-brown, and red colors. F3 produces the best color at pH 4.6. The evaluation results include the distinctive aroma of chocolate, semi-solid consistency, homogeneity, spreadability, adhesion, viscosity, and pH that meet the pharmaceutical requirements. In conclusion, ethanol extract from Asoka flowers can be utilized as a natural colorant in lip cream formulations. Keywords: Ixora coccinea, Natural Colorants, Lip cream, Carnauba wax, Candelilla wax Abstrak Bunga asoka (Ixora coccinea) memiliki pigmen warna yang dapat digunakan sebagai pewarna alami pada kosmetik dekoratif. Namun penggunaan pewarna alami pada kosmetik dekoratif masih kurang dan permintaan penggunaan kosmetik dekoratif terutama lip cream semakin meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ekstrak etanol bunga asoka dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif pewarna alami pada sediaan lip cream. Penelitian ini diawali dengan ekstraksi bunga asoka dengan metode maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 96% dan asam sitrat. Lalu dilakukan optimasi basis dengan pengental tunggal dan kombinasi berupa carnauba wax dan candelilla wax. Basis dievaluasi dan diformulasikan dengan ekstrak bunga asoka. Kualitas sediaan ditentukan melalui uji organoleptis, uji homogenitas, uji daya sebar, uji daya lekat, uji viskositas dan uji pH. Hasil ekstraksi didapatkan rendemen sebesar 27,1%. Formula basis terbaik yaitu F3, F4, dan F5. Sediaan dengan ekstrak bunga asoka konsentrasi 2%, 4%, dan 6% menghasilkan warna berturut-turut coklat muda, coklat kemerahan, dan merah. F3 menghasilkan warna terbaik dengan pH 4,6. Hasil evaluasi karakteristik fisik seluruh sediaan meliputi aroma khas coklat, konsistensi semipadat, homogen serta memiliki daya sebar, daya lekat, viskositas, dan pH yang memenuhi persyaratan evaluasi sediaan lip cream. Disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol bunga asoka dapat digunakan sebagai pewarna alami pada sediaan lip cream. Kata Kunci: Ixora coccinea, Pewarna Alami, Lip cream, Carnauba wax, Candelilla wax

Overexposure to the sun can lead to the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which accelerates the aging process of the skin. The formation of ROS can be prevented with antioxidant compounds. Coenzyme Q10 is a lipophilic antioxidant because it has 10 isoprene side chains, causing coenzyme Q10 to have low skin penetration ability. Thus, the Coenzyme Q10 Nanostructured Lipid Carrier (NLC) technology was created to improve coenzyme Q10's skin penetration. This research examined the physicochemical properties of scaled-up Coenzyme Q10 NLC formulation. The method used is High Shear Homogenization HSH), by testing two formulas, namely F1 with 20% surfactant content and 30% surfactant F2. The results obtained for the physicochemical characteristics of F1 and F2 were seen from the organoleptic parameters which were yellowish in color, semisolid, and had a characteristic odor of fat; viscosity (825.60±537.63cps; 2588.33±584.42cps), pseudoplastic flow properties; pH (5,74±0,057; 5,80±0,021), particle size (592,33±158,19nm; 257,5±39,53nm), zeta potential (-12,73±18.5mV; -36, 1±20.91mV), polydispersity index (0,461±0,129; 0,223±0,104), spherical and smooth surface morphology; decreased and increased peak height at º2Th (21.5645, 23.005; 18.9246, 22.9967), and no interaction was found between the active ingredient and the carrier. This study finds that a successful formulation of coenzyme Q10 NLC has been made.
