This article presents the identifi cation of soil use potential for different agropastoral and forest scenarios, using an indicator for erosion susceptibility from the spatialized Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE). All USLE factors were spatialized using ArcGis 10.5 software, for the case study of the Cachoeira Cinco Veados Watershed-RS. To determine the R factor, we used the Cassol et al. 2007 equation and a 33-year series of rain data from six climatic stations. For the K factor, published values for the soil classes: Entisol, Ultisol, Oxisol, Molisols were used. From the DEM, the LS factor was obtained, considering six slope classes (0-3, 3-8, 8-20, 20-45, 45-75, >75%). In addition to the actual land use situation in the watershed, nine scenarios were proposed for the C factor. The value of 0.5 was used for the evaluation of conservation practices (P factor). Considering scenarios of current use situation along with the nine other scenarios, the results showed that, by identifying the most susceptible areas in each scenario, it is possible to construct an indicator map of soil compatibilities for each use, considering sustainable limits of soil losses. Therefore, this resulting map has potential use as instrument for land use planning and zoning studies.

A Sub-Região hidrográfica Itacaiúnas apresenta modificações significantes ao longo dos anos, devido à substituição de áreas florestais por pastagem, o que torna o território vulnerável e com altos potenciais de fragilidade ambiental. O presente estudo tem por objetivo analisar a dinâmica da fragilidade ambiental da Sub-Região Hidrográfica Itacaiúnas (SRHI) para fins de planejamento ambiental. A pesquisa baseou-se na utilização do sensoriamento remoto para levantamento das variáveis e a atribuição de pesos para elaboração de mapas de fragilidade relacionados às classes de declividade, pedologia, geomorfologia e uso e ocupação do solo ao longo dos anos de 1985, 1995, 2005 e 2018. Os resultados indicaram que as condições humanas depreciam as condições naturais, uma vez que a classe muito baixa de fragilidade que ocupava 46,9% da área total em 1985 foi substituída pela classe média e passou a ocupar 48,6% no ano 2018, com isso, observou-se que a Bacia do Rio Parauapebas (BRP) apresentou maior grau de fragilidade, enquanto que a Bacia do Rio Catete (BRC), Bacia do Rio Sororó (BRS) e Bacia do Rio Vermelho (BRV) mostraram-se menos frágeis, indicando ser a principal mudança na SRHI. Nesse sentido, conclui-se que a área em estudo se mostrou vulnerável com relação à ecodinâmica por apresentarem grau de fragilidade média em sua maioria, o que mostra a necessidade de melhorias no que tange ao planejamento ambiental.

Applying environmental fragility in studies evaluating watershed can guide policy decisions on monitoring and management regarding soil use planning, improving water quality for public supply. The objective of this study is to characterize the environmental fragility as well as to relate it to water quality factors of catchment rivers for public supply in western Paraná, Brazil, in order to evaluate the in uence of anthropic actions on catchment sources. Water quality data such as temperature (Temp; C), electrical conductivity (Ec; mS/cm −1 ), dissolved oxygen (DO; mg L −1 ), turbidity (Turb; NTU) and pH were measured on site by the multi-parameter probe HORIBA brand, model U-5000. Slope data were obtained from the site of the National Institute of Space Research (INPE). Soil use and occupation was performed in the QGis software, with image obtained from the Sentinel 2A Satelite. Köppen-Geiger classi cation was used for the climate type. For the environmental fragility maps, the variables slope, climate, soil use and occupation were analyzed using the QGis raster software calculator. The intermediate fragility class predominates in the nine municipalities studied, making it necessary to manage them aimed at restoration and conservation, and the municipalities that are the largest areas of high fragility class are: Guaraniaçu, Catanduvas and Cascavel, demanding greater attention. The variation in fragility mainly responded to the pH, E. coli and DQO temperature values, which can be strongly associated with the difference in soil use and slope of the areas evaluated.
