Pompa digunakan untuk memindahkan sebuah fluida dari satu tempat ke tempat yang lain. Pompa memiliki banyak jenis, salah satunya adalah pompa dosing. Pompa dosing digunakan untuk memindahkan fluida dengan cara injeksi, dimana aliran fluida yang terpindahkan akan berbentuk tetesan fluida. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mencari nilai baku laju alir pompa, mengingat bawasanya laju alir dari injeksi disinfektan dapat mempengaruhi kualitas air. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode trial and error. Laju alir ditentukan dengan variabel bukaan 30%, 40% dan 50% pada pompa, yang kemudian dilakukan pengujian evaluasi berupa kadar sisa klor pada fountain tap. Jika pompa bekerja secara baik dan normal, maka semakin tinggi nilai bukaan, maka semakin tinggi nilai kadar sisa klor yang terukur dari hasil evaluasi di lapangan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dilakukan kalibrasi secara berkala, sehingga dapat dilakukan monitoring pada sistem pompa. Dari hasil observasi pengukuran kadar sisa klor dilakukan di lapangan, didapatkan bahwa untuk titik pertama yang berlokasi di Tandon Betek adalah 0,9 ppm, 1,6 ppm dan 2 ppm, sedangkan untuk kadar sisa klor pada titik kedua yang berlokasi di konsumen terjauh adalah 0 ppm, 0,3 ppm dan 0,6 ppm. Nilai hasil uji yang telah dilakukan akan dilakukan pendekatan dengan baku mutu yang diterapkan oleh perusahaan. Hasil pendekatan yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa nilai baku laju alir pompa terdapat pada bukaan 40%.

In this article, waste fibres from the recycling tire process with a different percentage of addition (0, 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5) were mixed to increase their tensile strength, tear resistance, and bending resistance with natural rubber NR. The effect of short fiber on composite mechanical properties was investigated. Despite substantial research on the mechanical characteristics of rubber products reinforced with fiber waste, the experimental work focused on identifying precursory physical mechanisms that are responsible for fracture behavior during tests and structural monitoring. The findings reveal that milling and vulcanization conditions have a significant role in enhancing mechanical characteristics. The waste fibres and natural rubber provide strong interfacial adhesion during two rolls of milling and vulcanization at 140°C. Waste fiber may boost the tensile strength of a composite material by up to 7.5% of waste fiber, with a slight decrease at 10% and 12.5%. The flexing test findings showed that adding fiber to the recipe improved it by up to 7.5% before gradually degrading, and it is obvious that the recipes' tear resistance improves in comparison to the basic recipe. The discoveries have the potential to increase the tensile strength, tear resistance, and flexing resistance of industrially manufactured rubber conveyor belts, which are important physical properties in engineering applications.

Dampers provide safety by controlling unwanted motion that is caused due to the conversion of mechanical work into another form of energy (e.g., heat). State-of-the-art materials are elastomers and include thermoplastic elastomers. For the polymer-appropriate replacement of multi-component shock absorbers comprising mounts, rods, hydraulic fluids, pneumatic devices, or electro-magnetic devices, among others, in-depth insights into the mechanical characteristics of damper materials are required. The ultimate objective is to reduce complexity by utilizing inherent material damping rather than structural (multi-component) damping properties. The objective of this work was to compare the damping behavior of different elastomeric materials including thermoplastic poly(urethane) (TPU) and silicone rubber blends (mixtures of different poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS)). Therefore, the materials were hyper- and viscoelastic characterized, a finite element calculation of a ball drop test was performed, and for validation, the rebound resilience was measured experimentally. The results revealed that the material parameter determination methodology is reliable, and the data that were applied for simulation led to realistic predictions. Interestingly, the rebound resilience of the mixture of soft and hard PDMS (50:50) wt% was the highest, and the lowest values were measured for TPU.
