Beberapa kasus perundungan di pondok pesantren yang menjadi isu nasional ini menggambarkan bahwa pesantren bukanlah lingkungan pendidikan yang sepenuhnya bebas dari perilaku kekerasan. Pesantren dianggapsebagai pusat pendidikan keislaman yang seharusnya menjadi model zero violance education. Peran serta banyak pihak sangat dibutuhkan terutama untuk memberikan edukasi secara berkelanjutan guna mencegah kejadian serupa di kemudian hari. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilaksanakan di tiga pondok pesantren di Jawa Timur ini (PP. Al Hikam, Bangkalan; PP. KHA. Wahid Hasyim, Bangil; dan PP. Zaniul Hasan, Genggong) bertujuan memberikan edukasi tentang perundungan kepada santri pondok pesantren. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan secara daring melalui webinar. Dampak kegiatan ini dinilai menggunakan pre dan post test (google form) pada peserta. Pengumpulan pre dan post test membutuhkan waktu lebih lama karena santri menggunakan ponsel guru secara bergantian. Didapatkan peningkatan skor post test dibandingkan pre test. Disimpulkan bahwa wawasan santri tentang perundungan lebih baik dibandingkan sebelum diadakan webinar. Kegiatan ini dapat menjadi model edukasi di kemudian hari, sehingga diharapkan dapat menjadi upaya pencegahan perilaku perundungan, untuk mendukung terwujudnya zero violance education di lingkungan pondok pesantren.

Santri’s Emotional Intelligence and Big Five Personalities on Bullying Behaviors in Pesantren

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of two independent variables; emotional intelligence and big five personalities, on the dependent variable, namely the bullying behavior of teenage santri at pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) in West Sumatra. This study used a quantitative approach with multiple regression analysis methods with a significance level of 0.05 or 5%. The sample consisted of 200 santri in pesantren of West Sumatra, taken using a non-probability sampling technique. The data collection instruments used the Wong and Law's Emotional Intelligence Scale, the Big Five Inventory and the Revised Olweus Bullying/Victim Questionnaire (OBVQ). The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence on emotional intelligence and big five personality toward bullying behavior of santri. Emotional intelligence consist of self-assessment, emotional assessment of others, emotional regulation, emotional use. The big five personality consist of extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, openness. The hypothesis test results show that two minor hypotheses significantly affect the bullying behavior of santri in pesantren, namely the emotional regulation dimension of self-emotional assessment and the agreeableness dimension of the big five personalities.

Bullying behavior can occur randomly by not choosing a place, time, and to anyone. Bullying also often occurs in Islamic educational institutions including in madrasah, Islamic schools (integrated) and also pesantren. This phenomenon will worsen the image of Islamic education institutions in the eyes of the community, so it should be solved properly. This study aims to analyze the behavior of bullying that occurs in several Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia that have been published in journals. Data were processed by using meta-synthesis analysis with an ecological theory approach. The results obtained are few studies bullying in educational institutions compiled in approach microsystem, mesosystem, exosystem, macrosystem, and chronosystem. Although not all elements in ecological theory are consistently represented in the discussion by published researchers, ecological theory is well worth recommended as a knife of analysis to overcome bullying combined with counseling programs.
