Method for determining the maximum load of consumers in city power supply systems

Abstract: In this article, we propose a new method for determining the maximum load of electric consumers in urban electric networks, which differs from existing methods in more accurate and reliable determination of the maximum loads. Based on the determination of the maximum loads of the objects of urban electrical networks, it is concluded that the proposed methods are determined by high accuracy and minor errors.

“…To date, economic current density is widely used to select cross-sectional areas of cable lines, but it does not meet the condition of minimum total costs. In this regard, it was necessary to determine the economic ranges of loads and the tasks associated with them in order to choose the cross-sectional surfaces of the cables [19][20][21][22][23][24][25].…”

“…As a result, the consumption of reactive power increased, and the losses of electricity increased. To solve this problem, it is necessary to install multifunctional meters at each transformer station (TP) and, depending on the amount of reactive power consumed, calculate the necessary automated installations of capacitor banks [1][2][3][4]6].…”

“…In these conditions, the correct choice of the parameters of power lines and, first of all, the cross-sections of wires of overhead lines and cables of cable lines is of great importance. To select the cross-sections of cable power lines, until now, the economic current density is widely used, which does not meet the condition of the minimum total costs [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8]. In this regard, it became necessary to determine the economic load intervals for the selection of cable cross-sections and the solution of related problems, taking into account the dynamics of load growth.…”
