Mirage cosmology with an unstable probe D3-brane

Abstract: We consider the mirage cosmology by an unstable probe brane whose action is represented by BDI action with tachyon. We study how the presence of tachyon affects the evolution of the brane inflation. At the early stage of the brane inflation, the tachyon kinetic term can play an important role in curing the superluminal expansion in mirage cosmology.

“…[40]. The analysis of the performance of that scheme under decoherence shows that these states are practically realizable ones [41] and the necessary phase shift can be achieved by weak cross-Kerr nonlinearities realizable in present experiments [42][43][44][45]. In our proposed schemes the nonclassical states are prepared conditionally depending on the results of the homodyne measurements.…”

“…By converting the sum over n ∆ to an integral in Eqs. (21) and (26) and comparing their matrix elements in the photon-number basis, it can be shown that these two forms of ˆR ρ are equivalent provided that Eq. (25) is satisfied.…”

“…Moreover, these superpositions are not placed symmetric with respect to the origin, but have a large coherent amplitude. Separation of the constituent states can be increased at a cost of increasing the intensity arXiv:1511.06531v1 [quant-ph] 20 Nov 2015 of the input coherent beam [7]. One possibility to prepare CSS in such a scheme is to displace the states [7] by a high transmission beam splitter and a second coherent beam.…”

Experimentally the intensities needed for the displacement do not appear realistic.…”
