“…However, a downregulation in IgM has also been reported recently in seabream fed with probiotics (Guzmán-Villanueva et al, 2014). Interestingly, a posterior study, also in Sparus aurata and using the same probiotic encapsulated with alginate, revealed an increase in IgM (Cordero et al, 2015). As mentioned previously, the importance of the dose given to the animal is reflected in these results; the protective effect of the probiotic lead to an increased response, probably due to the increase in the number of bacteria delivered safely to the intestine through encapsulation.…”
