Abstract:Actigraphy is increasingly used to non-invasively estimate sleep quality in children with a suspected sleep disorder. Commercial actigraphs summarise wrist movement, conventionally measured with a uni-axial accelerometer, within a fixed epoch (typically 30s). Wake is subsequently identified as epochs of increased activity and sleep is identified as epochs of inactivity. This classification framework has some distinct limitations: actigraphy misclassifies activity during sleep as wake, and inactivity during wak… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
