Trecrezan: Progenitor of a new class of adaptogens and immunomodulators

“…Ambulatory observation of 32 patients with facial herpes simplex virus (HSV) and 22 patients with genital herpes showed that standard treatment with trecrezan (3´0.2 g/day, 20 days) in combination with antiviral drugs and symptomatic medicinals led to a decrease in the objective signs of disorder 5 -6 days earlier than in 40 patients constituting the control group. These results indicate that trecrezan is capable of improving the immune state of the organism in secondary HSV infection, increasing the period of remission, and improving the general clinical pattern of disorder [27,29,35].…”
