Nonadrenergic inhibitory innervation to the airways of the newborn cat

Abstract: Vagal, nonadrenergic inhibitory system (NAIS) innervation to airway smooth muscle has been demonstrated in adults of several species, including humans. However, the functional status of this system in newborns is not known.
