Body shell of anti-tank rocket which is a pipe part working under extreme conditions of high pressure and temperature, is manufactured from low-alloyed high quality steel 30X3MФ. The steel 30X3MΦ made in Vietnam appropriates of standard to produce body shell anti-tank rocket. The shell ensure technical requirements of composition, with very low rate of P, S and has good mechanical properties. After casting, steel billets were backward extrusion, includes 3 steps of thinned stamp, heat treatment and drawing processes, body shell fabrication is satisfied requirment of technique for anti-tank rocket shell. Results of fire testing of the body shells are in agreement with that of Russian ammunition. The body shells of anti-tank rocket which were manufactured in Vietnam conditions, satisfied desired technical requirement.

En el presente trabajo se realiza el estudio del proceso de extrusión indirecta en frio del aluminio AISI 6061 mediante el método de elementos finitos. Se estudia el comportamiento de una barra de sección transversal circular sometida a extrusión indirecta con un punzón cuadrado para evaluar características del proceso variando el redondeo del punzón y el coeficiente de fricción.Para llevar a cabo el estudio, se realizaron investigaciones acerca del proceso de conformado de la extrusión indirecta con las cuales se planteó el objeto descrito anteriormente, el cual fue desarrollado utilizando el método de elementos finitos mostrando como resultados que la carga de la extrusión indirecta es mayor a medida que el punzón realiza su recorrido. Además, se concluye que el comportamiento del esfuerzo equivalente de Von Mies en el tocho de trabajo se mantiene constante alrededor de la cabeza del punzón a medida que este penetra el tocho.

Finite Element Analysis and Experimental Study on the Effect of Extrusion Ratio during Hot Extrusion Process of Aluminium Matrix Composites

The finite element (FE) analysis on the effect of extrusion process parameter namely, extrusion ratio at different billet temperatures on the plastic strain and strain rate of aluminium matrix composite during hot extrusion process has been dealt. The dynamic explicit FE code in ANSYS 15.0 workbench was used for simulation. The FE analysis was carried out on the SiC reinforced aluminium matrix composites for three extrusion ratios 4:1, 8:1 and 15:1, for the billet temperatures in the range 350 °C -450 °C in steps of 50 °C. The plastic strain and strain rate were found to increase with increase in the extrusion ratio. A minimum strain and strain rate was found to occur at the billet temperature of 450 °C. The silicon carbide particles reinforced aluminium matrix composites were then extruded at the optimised temperature of 450 °C for various extrusion ratios as mentioned above. The effect of extrusion ratio on the microstructure and surface quality of extruded rod was studied.
