ResumoDiscute-se aqui a utilização da técnica do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo (DSC) como possibilidade de superação de alguns impasses e insuficiências das pesquisas de opinião tradicionais. A proposta do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo é de introduzir, com vistas a recuperar na escala coletiva, a integridade da opinião, como variável essencialmente discursiva, o que se chamou de primeira pessoa coletiva do singular, que configura a opinião como a expressão de um "eu ampliado". Assim, para fazer, por meio de uma pesquisa empírica, uma coletividade opinar, para que se possa conhecer a opinião coletiva expressada diretamente, será sempre preciso contornar o problema de que tal opinião coletiva precisa, necessariamente, ser reconstruída já que, de uma perspectiva estritamente positivista, só a opinião individual parece existir. Conclui-se com a idéia de que o pensamento das coletividades é um referente, descrito pelo DSC e interpretado pelo meta-discurso teórico.Palavras-chave: pílula do dia seguinte; gravidez; adolescência.
