This article deals with the contributions that the principles of the Chicago School, proposed for the urban centers, can bring in the analysis of the problems existing in the rural space. For the theoretical basis, the discussion of these concepts was carried out; of traditional peoples and communities, of the communities that exist in the northeastern semi-arid region, such as the Caiçara I Population. It discusses the process of urbanization of rural areas and their consequences; on the fragility of existing studies, especially on critical rural sociology and its role in the elaboration of concepts specific to the rural area. It is observed the elements that approach rural areas in the process of urbanization the emergence of segregated communities and if rural communities can be the new "ghettos" of urban centers. The identification and discussion of the principles of the Chicago School in the rural community under study is carried out. The methodological proposal used is the bibliographical research, performed through the systemic review of literature that dialogues with the use of methods of critical ethnography. It concludes with the suggestion of a model for the development of the public policy agenda aimed at identifying and meeting the real needs of these communities.

Reconhecendo a importância dos saberes tradicionais para a sociobiodiversidade, esta pesquisa tem como objetivo descrever as práticas identificadas a partir do Estágio Interdisciplinar de Vivência (EIV) e relacionar as experiências de histórias de vida oral de agricultores familiares no Sertão Paraibano com a ecologia profunda e noção de pertencimento à Terra. A metodologia utilizada foi qualitativa, realizada por meio de observação direta das práticas cotidianas, em que se observou que as atividades de reciclagem, reuso, cuidados com o manejo correto da terra, da adubação orgânica e uso de defensivos naturais e da criação animal ecológica foram mitigadoras de impactos ambientais e representam relações de responsabilidade ambiental. Com os relatos de história de vida, percebeu-se o sentimento de pertencimento à Terra e à realidade semiárida, configurando uma reestruturação do modo de vida dos sujeitos que vivem na região estudada.

Waste generation has become one of the most important issues of the century, every production process has significant losses due to the lack of proper management, especially wood waste, which becomes environmental liabilities, given the search for low environmental impact solutions, such as Microusina. Briquettes The scenario for initial investments that would be R $ 63,706.62 in fixed costs for implementation purposes and R $ 109,274.02 in variable costs for the first month, added up to R $ 792,980.64 (20%) of the amount spent in the year. 2018. The results of this research reflected that briquetting is an economically viable technological alternative that sets precedents for sustainable development in the Amazon, and may prove to be a powerful instrument for environmental compensation and cooperation among generating agents, collectors and the public authorities. , where it successfully fulfills its social function, generating cultural change and change and attitude towards waste disposal, reduction of generation, reduction of pressure under native forests, and minimization of environmental liabilities.
