The purpose of this study was to determine the attitudes of the trainees registered in Pedagogical Formation Certificate Program (PFCP) towards the Instructional Technologies and Material Design (ITMD) course and to analyze whether these attitudes differed according to gender, department and level of grade. The data were obtained from totally 110 trainees including 78 females and 38 males. In addition to the personal information form, the Attitude Scale towards ITMD Course was used as the data collection tool. The scale had three sub-dimensions as effectiveness, admiration and denial, and the internal consistency coefficients calculated for the current implementation were between .99 and .77. It was understood that the trainees regarded the ITMD course effective enough to be considered good, admired the course at a moderate level, and did not neglect the course very much. It was noticed that female trainees found the course more effective and admired it more rather than the male trainees. The trainees in the English group were determined to consider ITMD course more effective than the trainees in the philosophy group. Moreover, it was proved that the students in the English group admired more rather than the trainees in the theology and philosophy groups. The graduate trainees regarded ITMD course more effective than the ones who were still students. This study aimed to analyze knowledge of preservice teachers on material preparation process for mathematics lesson and their opinions about the points to be considered while developing material. In this context, in addition, it was intended to determine the preservice teachers' differences to use their knowledge on material preparation while developing materials in the course. To that end, 39 preservice teachers in total who studied in Elementary and Secondary School Mathematics Teaching Program at a state university in Southern Anatolia Region in the Fall semester of 2019-2020 academic year and who received "Instructional Technologies" and "Material Design in Mathematics Teaching lessons" were addressed two different open-ended questions in writing. Data obtained as a result of the applications performed were analyzed through content analysis. At this stage, the number of answers given by the students to the open-ended questions was determined and thus qualitative data were quantified. Then, frequency analysis and categorical analysis methods were noted in quantified data. At the end of the study, preservice mathematics teachers' both knowledge on material preparation process and points to be considered while developing material were gathered under three different sub-themes which are material use, content/design, and student. However, it was observed that preservice teachers focused mostly on content/design of the material among these sub-themes. It was found that priority order for the subthemes material use and student varied when looked both at knowledge on material preparation process and points that should be taken into account during material developing. It is seen that there are some differences in the priorities of the use of pre-service mathematics teachers' knowledge on material preparation while developing materials.

ÖzBu araştırma, sınıf öğretmenlerinin fen bilimleri dersinde kullandığı yardımcı kaynakların seçiminde dikkate aldıkları kriterleri belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini Amasya il merkezinde görev yapmakta olan ve 3. ve 4. sınıfları okutan sınıf öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 102 sınıf öğretmenini kapsamıştır. Veri toplama tekniği ankettir. Öğretmenlerin kılavuz kitap seçim kriterlerini belirlemek için literatürden faydalanılarak kitap seçim kriterleri ölçeği hazırlanmıştır. Ölçek 70 maddeden ve dış yapı, iç yapı ve eğitsel özellikler alt boyutlarından oluşmaktadır. SPSS 15.0 programı kullanılarak verilerin betimsel ve yordamsal analizleri yapılmıştır. Öğretmenler ders kitabı dışında en çok internet ve yaprak testlerden yararlandıkları, kılavuz kitapları konu açıklamada kullandıklarını belirtmişlerdir. Ölçekte en yüksek ortalama puan eğitsel özellikler boyutunda bulunmuştur. Öğretmenlerin genel olarak"katılıyorum" düzeyinde olumlu görüş bildirdikleri bulunmuştur. En yüksek ortalamalar kitabın konuyu açıklaması, öğrenciye uygunluğu ve bilgilerin konu alanına uygunluğu maddelerinde bulunmuştur. Kitap seçim kriterleri ölçeği toplam puanları öğretmenlerin cinsiyet ve mesleki kıdemine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermemektedir. AbstractThis study was carried out with the purpose of determining the criteria that classroom teachers take into consideration for the selection of study aids in science class. In the study, survey method, one of the quantitative research methods, was used. The research population consists of classroom teachers who are serving in Amasya city center and teaching 3 rd and 4 th grade students. Sample of the study included 102 classroom teachers. Survey technique was used for collecting data in this study. In order to determine classroom teachers' guidebook selection criteria, "book selection criteria scale" was prepared with the help of literature. The scale included 70 item, consists of subscales such as internal structure, external structure and educational characteristics. The data was analyzed as descriptive and interpretive by SPSS 15.0 statistical program. The teachers stated that they mostly used internet and test-sheets apart from course book, and guidebooks were used to explain the subject.The highest average point was found in educational characteristics aspect. It was found out that teachers expressed generally their positive opinions at "I agree" level. The highest averages were found in terms of subject explanation of the book, suitability of the book for students and suitability of the information for the subject fields. Teachers' book selection criteria scale points in terms of gender and professional seniority show significant difference.
