One-pot synthesis of novel pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidines using HAp-encapsulated-γ-Fe2O3 supported sulfonic acid nanocatalyst under solvent-free conditions

Based on the report, 7,8 after coating a layer of hydroxyapatite on the surface of the γ -Fe 2 O 3 nanoparticles, functionalization with a sulfonic acid group was achieved by treatment with chlorosulfonic acid (0.9 mmol g −1 -SO 3 H loading) to furnish [γ -Fe 2 O 3 @HAp-SO 3 H. ] nanocrystallites. The catalyst was characterized by IR, SEM and XRD.…”

“…So a plethora of reports have been found demonstrating efficient synthetic methodologies for organic molecules containing pyrido[2,3‐ d ]pyrimidine core structure starting from a diverse set of substrates employing homogenous, heterogeneous, and catalyst‐free procedures.
