“…Unnikrishnan et al (2013) immobilized glucose oxidase enzyme (GOx) onto graphene oxide without any cross-linking agents or modifiers. Zhou et al (2012) immobilized GOx on a support composed of graphene oxide (GO) and concanavalin A (Con A) and proposed that the amino groups of Con A were covalently attached to the carboxyl groups of pre-activated GO and then GOx was immobilized on the GO-Con A. Polymers such as polystyrene (PSt) can be covalently linked with enzymes, resulting in surfactant-like giant molecules that have the ability to form catalytic molecular layers at the interface of aqueous/organic biphasic systems Wang 2004, Ge et al 2009). …”

“…At pH 3.0 and 10.0 only about 1.84 and 6.23 % of the initial current response was registered. Previous studies have reported that optimal pH value for free GOx and on graphite electrode immobilized GOx when PMS is used as mediator is 5.5 and 6.0 , respectively. Taking into account the results of this and earlier published studies, it can be concluded that the GOx immobilized on surface of the PCPy particles exhibits a pH activity profile maximum shifted to more alkaline pH as compared to the free and on graphite electrode immobilized GOx.…”
