Abstract: Background. An imbalance of interaction between the sympathetic and parasympathetic links of the autonomic nervous system leads to autonomic dysregulation of the heart rate resulting in insufficient stress resistance, impaired adaptation and depletion of the protective mechanisms of the gastric mucosa.
