Morbidity among children in Indonesia is high. Based on the 2013 Hospital Information System data, there were five major morbidities, namely acute respiratory tract infections, diarrhea, fever, seizures, and pneumonia. This study aimed to describe the characteristics of mothers, history of exclusive breastfeeding and immunization status against morbidity in infants aged 1-14 months in the Sukabumi region. This study used descriptive research method with a cross-sectional study design on 71 mothers who have infants aged 1-14 months and are domiciled in the Sukabumi region. The data sources used were primary and secondary data, while the data was analyzed using univariate. The results of the study showed that the majority of mothers aged 20-35 years had infants morbidity due to fever by 78.9%, 29.6% of infants morbidity in mothers with elementary school graduate was caused by fever, housewives had infants morbidity due to fever by 78.9%, 83.1% of infants morbidity due to fever was occurred in mothers who performed exclusive breastfeeding, and 63.4% of morbidity in infants with complete immunization were also caused by fever. The results of this study can be concluded that the majority of morbidity was caused by fever, in mothers aged 20-35 years, mothers with elementary school graduate, housewife, children who obtained exclusive breastfeeding and complete immunization.

Socioemotional development is important for children to develop their own potential, cognitive development, support school readiness and academic success. This study aims to analyze the child’s temperament, parent’s parenting practices to children’s socioemotional development aged 5-6 years. This study used a quantitative survey approach. Samples in this study were 100 children and their mothers from 6 kindergartens in Depok City. Samples were chosen by using a convenient sampling method with criteria that mothers would be a sample of research. The collected data was analyzed using a structural equation model with Smart PLS 6.0. The instruments used in this study were the mother's and father's parenting practice questionnaire, EAS temperament questionnaire, and social-emotional development questionnaire. The results of the study showed that a child’s socioemotional development is affected positive significant by the mother’s parenting practice, father’s parenting practice, and also children’s temperament. This study also showed that a father’s parenting practice provides positive significant to the mother’s parenting practice and child’s temperament. Keywords: Children; Parenting practice; Socioemotional development; Temperaments Abstrak Perkembangan sosial dan emosi penting dicapai anak untuk mengembangkan potensi diri anak, meningkatkan perkembangan kognitif, mendukung kesiapan sekolah dan keberhasilan akademik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh temperamen anak dan praktik pengasuhan orang tua terhadap perkembangan sosial emosi anak usia 5-6 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan survey kuantitatif. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 100 pasang anak prasekolah dan ibunya yang berasal dari 6 TK di Kota Depok. Sampel dipilih menggunakan metode convenient sampling dengan kriteria ibu bersedia menjadi sampel penelitian. Data dianalisis menggunakan smart PLS 6.0. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner praktik pengasuhan ibu dan ayah, kuesioner temperamen EAS, dan kuesioner perkembangan sosial emosi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan sosial emosi anak dipengaruhi secara positif signifikan oleh praktik pengasuhan ibu, praktik pengasuhan ayah, dan temperamen anak. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa praktik pengasuhan ayah memberikan pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap praktik pengasuhan ibu dan temperamen anak.Kata kunci: Anak; Perkembangan sosial emosi; Praktik pengasuhan; Temperamen

The purpose of this study is to find out what are the reasons for working abroad, who cares for their children and how their parenting style is. The method used in the study was qualitative with a case study in Panyingkiran village, Karawang. Enculturation has taken place Women working abroad are desperate. The money from working abroad is used to improve the welfare of his extended family so that a surrogate role is needed for the mother in raising children. Parenting is handed over to large families, especially grandmothers. Mothers use the device of communication to keep participating in care even though the mother and child live far apart. Almost every night the mother communicates with the child, so that the child's behavior becomes independent, and is responsible.
