This research aims to determine the impact of the Riko the Series on the learning outcomes of elementary school students in the water cycle material. The learning outcomes referred to in this study pertain to the achievement at the level of conceptual understanding in the cognitive domain. This is a quantitative study with quasi-experimental research as its method. The research utilizes a Nonequivalent Control Group design, involving pretest and posttest assessments in each group, with the population being all fourth-grade students of elementary school of Negeri Sukaraja 1. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling The sample consists of 31 students from Class IV A and 31 students from Class IV B, both from elementary school of Sukaraja 1. The preliminary findings indicate a significant impact on the learning outcomes of elementary school students in the water cycle material, whether or not the Riko the Series is used. Subsequent research findings reveal that the learning approach involving the Riko the Series leads to better learning outcomes, as evidenced by higher average scores. However, when comparing the learning outcomes between the experimental and control groups, no significant impact is found. To measure the influence in more detail, an effect size calculation is performed. The result of the effect size calculation, based on Cohen's D criteria, considering the entire population of fourth-grade students at elementary school of Negeri Sukaraja 1 Sumedang, suggests that the Riko the Series has a low impact on the learning outcomes of elementary school sukaraja 1 Sumedang with an effect size of 0.254.

This research was a development research using the Plomp model with 3 phases, namely preliminary research consisting of: needs analysis, curriculum analysis, concept analysis and analysis of student characteristics. The development or prototyping phase consists of: self evaluation and expert review, one-to-one evaluation and small group evaluation. And the assessment phase consists of testing the effectiveness by testing the results of learning mathematics. The results of this study indicate that the average score of the material aspect by mathematicians is 85.84%; educational technology expert 81.82%; and linguists 93.75%. Therefore, multimedia obtained a total average score of 89.10% or very valid criteria. Based on the multimedia practicality test conducted by an educator and 6 students, it shows that multimedia gets an average score of 86.15% or very practical criteria with an average of 81.67% by the teacher's response and 90.63% by the student's response. Based on the multimedia effectiveness test by giving math problem solving test questions obtained 78.26% of students who meet completeness, this shows that multimedia mathematics meets the criteria of being very valid, very practical and very effective for improving mathematical problem solving for students of MTs Muhammadiyah Class VIII.

Nutritional problems in school-age children can occur because of less knowledge. School-age period is the right time for provide nutrition education. Nutrition education needs the interesting and fun media to make it easier to understand, such as crossword puzzles and animation videos. This study aims is to determine the influence of nutrition education with crossword puzzles and animation videos on balanced nutrition knowledge in school-age children. The methods that used is a quasi-experimental with a pretest and posttest group design. The 54 students aged 10 to 12 from fifth graders were selected by stratified random sampling and divided into two media groups. The statistical tests utilized are the independent and paired sample t-tests. The majority of responders were male (63%) and 11 years old (79.6%). The results showed that there were differences in the influence of nutrition education before and after being given crossword puzzles (p = 0.003) and animation video (p = 0.000) on balanced nutrition knowledge. The results also showed that there was no difference in the effectiveness of nutrition education between crossword puzzles and animated videos on balanced nutrition knowledge (p = 0.987). Crossword puzzles and animation videos have an impact for given balanced nutrition education on school-aged children. Animation videos is more effective in increasing balanced nutrition knowledge on school-age children compared to crossword puzzles. It is recommended that the government and schools implement nutrition education initiatives using engaging and entertaining media, such as animation videos.
