This study aims to explain the local government scenario in developing Karangsambung Karangbolong National Geopark. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach using the TAID analysis framework (Tracking, Analyzing, Imaging, Deciding). The results of this study indicate two main factors that influence the development of the Karangsambung Karangbolong National Geopark. First, the availability of budget, and second, the role of the government, stakeholders, and community. This study offers 4 (four) alternative scenarios for developing Karangsambung Karangbolong National Geopark, namely Wonderful Future, Floating Future, Refraction Future, and Downfall Future. Based on scenarios that are following current conditions, a vision and strategy for developing geopark for 2021-2030 are then drawn up according to the main pillars of geopark development. This study recommends that local governments make a financing framework plan for geopark development and establish partnerships with central and provincial governments, stakeholders, and the public. In addition, local governments need to formulate regulations as guidelines for developing the Karangsambung Karangbolong National Geopark.
