In Malaysia, Islamic affairs institutions play an essential role in ensuring the development and progress of Islamic affairs. However, in most cases, the institutions in charge of Islamic affairs face many challenges in maintaining the purity of the Islamic faith and teachings in this country. In response to this, it is imperative to understand the factors that can enhance the sustainability of Islamic affairs. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to explore the factors affecting the sustainability of Islamic affairs in Malaysia. By integrating Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) and Matrix of Cross-Impact Multiplications Applied to Classification (MICMAC), this study developed a novel model to ensure the sustainability of Islamic affairs. The findings of the model indicated that Islamic Religious Education (IRE) is the most influential factor in creating the sustainability of Islamic affairs. On the other hand, Society Well-Being (SWB) is the most dependent factor influenced by all other factors considered in this study. Accordingly, it is postulated that the identification of significant factors and the utilization of the proposed model could guide various stakeholder groups, such as policymakers, policy executors, and Islamic affairs practitioners, to achieve long-term sustainability. This model could also be adapted by Islamic institutions in other countries to formulate appropriate efforts to strengthen the development of Islamic affairs based on the critical factors of relationships.

The most common issue throughout this pandemic is domestic violence. Women are the most victims of domestic violence during the Covid-19 pandemic. Domestic violence is a pattern of aggression, torture, or harassment used to retain authority over a spouse in a close relationship. Around 57% of domestic violence cases were reported from women during Movement Control Order in Malaysia. The objective of this study is to identify the effect on the issue of domestic violence during the Covid-19 pandemic. The researchers employed quantitative approaches to collect long-term data on domestic violence incidents during the COVID-19 Pandemic with four registered counselors from the National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) and the Department of Social Welfare. According to the counselor’s perspective, the study’s findings show several effects of domestic violence during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The industrial revolution 4.0 disrupts the technology field and other fields, such as law, economics, and society, namely the deprivation of human values and religion. One of the steps to overcome the disruption era is the revitalization of Islamic values, given that the majority of Indonesia's population is Muslim. Islamic values are fundamentally built in the family as the smallest social structure of society. Therefore, this study aims to describe the strategy of the revitalization of Islamic values in the family. To achieve this goal, a descriptive analysis method is used. To obtain accurate results, this study was conducted in three steps. First, the provision of data with the method of conversation with questionnaire techniques about Islamic values in the family which one of the members is the student. Second, the analytical method used is the eclectic SWAT-functional method. Using SWAT-analysis as one of the methods, the strengths, weaknesses, threats, and challenges of the family to revitalize Islamic values in the era of disruption can be mapped, while using the functional analysis, it can be given the principles of Islamic families. Then, the analyzed data is compiled as a strategy to revitalize Islamic values in the family. Third, the presentation of data informally, namely providing a straightforward explanation of optimizing Strengths-opportunities and strategies to overcome weaknesses (weakness-threats) to revitalize Islamic values in the family. The results of the study were found two types of Indonesian families based on the eight family functions in the Qur'an. Type-A, a good family and strong, namely the fulfillment of family functions between 70% to 90%. The type-B family is not good and not strong because religion and education are not good. This research implies that a strategy is needed to optimize the value of Islamic values in the type A family and strengthen the religiosity function and educational function in the type B family.
