The Dasawisma group is a social community under the auspices of the PKK. Dasawisma Bougenville I Bulan Terang Utama Housing (BTU) Kedungkandang Village, Madyopuro District, Malang City has held various programs to improve the quality of life of its citizens. During the pandemic, the residents of Dawis Bougenville I experienced economic and social impacts, including challenges in terms of practical learning at home and the habit of reading children's activities. Effective learning counseling and storytelling were held to create more conducive conditions for children's motivation to learn and read. The counseling began with the initial interview and observation phase, followed by two meetings with the residents of Dawis I Bougenville and an evaluation process. At the end of the activity, the counseling participants implemented practical learning steps and storytelling. Evaluation interviews showed that around 70% of the participants felt some form of increasing children's learning motivation even though the challenges were still severe because it was related to controlling stress and emotions in uncertain situations.ABSTRAKKelompok Dasawisma ialah kelompok sosial masyarat di bawah naungan PKK. Dasawisma Bougenville I Perumahan Bulan Terang Utama (BTU) Kelurahan Kedungkandang, Kecamatan Madyopuro, Kota Malang telah mengadakan berbagai program demi peningkatan kualitas hidup warganya. Selama pandemi, kondisi warga Dawis Bougenville I mengalami dampak baik dari sisi ekonomi maupun sosial, termasuk tantangan dalam hal pembelajaran efektif di rumah dan pembiasaan kegiatan baca anak. Sebagai solusi, diadakanlah penyuluhan pembelajaran efektif dan storytelling guna menciptakan kondisi yang lebih kondusif bagi motivasi belajar dan baca anak. Penyuluhan diawali dengan tahap wawancara dan observasi awal, diikuti oleh dua pertemuan bersama warga Dawis I Bougenville serta proses evaluasi. Di akhir kegiatan, peserta penyuluhan telah menerapkan langkah pembelajaran efektif dan storytelling. Wawancara evaluasi menunjukkan sekitar 70% peserta merasakan beberapa bentuk peningkatan motivasi belajar anak walau tantangan masih berat karena berkaitan dengan pengendalian stres dan emosi dalam situasi serba tidak pasti.
