Performance Analysis of MANET Routing Protocols in Different Mobility Models

Abstract: A mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is basically called as a network without any central administration or fixed infrastructure. It consists of a number of mobile nodes that use to send data packets through a wireless medium. There is always a need of a good routing protocol in order to establish the connection between mobile nodes since they possess the property of dynamic changing topology. Further, in all the existing routing protocols, mobility of a node has always been one of the important characteristics in … Show more

“…Similar to the NCM model, the PMM is also a modified deviation of the RPGM [82], [135]. In this model, the target node (the reference point of the group) employs the Random Waypoint mobility model to travel around the simulation area with a uniform speed [136], while the other nodes are chasing it with a configurable amount of deviation around it. Furthermore, while the pursuing nodes move independent from each other, their direction (θ), speed (v), position (P i ), and all of the other moving aspects are dependent on the target node.…”

“…It was projected for inspecting or searching targeted application scenarios. Every UAV moves in the region of a reference position located on a specified line, which is moving in a frontward direction (Gupta, Sadawarti & Verma, 2013). In specific, every UAV arbitrarily turns in the region of the reference position from beginning to end an entity mobility model, for example, an easy Random way.…”

“…These tables have been named as pheromone routing tables. Each node stores a pheromone routing table T k organized as in distancevector algorithms for storing probability trail values [12]. For each destination-neighbour pair (d, n), T k stores a probability value P nd which helps in choosing n as next-hop node to destination d, such that…”
