Introduction: One of the risks that may come from exposure to chemicals, physics, and biological agents in the interaction of processes in industrial activities, particularly in the business of making tofu in the tofu maker's environment, is a work-related skin disease. The number of years of employment, chemical exposure and the time spent each day, hand-washing routines, and the use of personal protective equipment while at work are additional risk factors known to influence the frequency of occupational skin disorders. This study seeks to obtain information about the symptoms and some risk factors of work-related skin diseases in tofu makers in Jalan Raya X, Cipayung District. Methods: The analytical cross-sectional design with a chi-square test was carried out with 50 tofu makers as the total research sample. Measurements were made using the modified Nordic Occupational Skin Questionnaire (NOSQ-2002)/LONG. Results: The study found that 46% (23 people) of tofu makers did experience symptoms of work-related skin diseases. As many as 84% (42 people) of tofu makers with a working period of more than 3 years, and as many as 96% (50 people) had exposure 3 hours per day. As many as 62% (31 people) had bad hand-washing habits, and 96% (48 people) did not fully use personal protective equipment. Conclusion: Improvement of supporting facilities and infrastructures in the production area, such as air circulation systems, modification of machinery and equipment, setting working hours, and providing proper cleaning facilities will increase the health status of workers.

BPS mencatat ada 77,91 juta (59,45%) penduduk Indonesia yang bekerja di sektor informal. K3 penting diperhatikan oleh para pekerja di berbagai sektor, namun dalam penerapannya masih kurang mendapat perhatian dari instansi terkait. Tahu merupakan makanan yang bergizi namun sangat disayangkan dalam proses pembuatannya masih banyak pekerja yang kurang memperhatikan keselamatan dan kesehatan dalam bekerja. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD) pada pekerja di Pabrik Tahu Primkopti di Kabupaten Serang Tahun 2022. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan melihat gambaran, pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan penggunaan alat pelindung diri. Penelitian ini telah dikaji dan mendapatkan keyalayakan etika penelitian oleh Komisi Etik Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat UMJ dengan nomor etik No. 10.490.B/KEPK-FKMUMJ/V/2022. Sampel dari penelitian ini yaitu seluruh pekerja yang ada di Pabrik Tahu Primkopti sebanyak 40 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Total Sampling. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada variabel pengetahuan terdapat 25 orang (62,5%) yang memiliki pengetahuan yang baik, pengetahuan cukup sebanyak 9 orang (22,5%), dan pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 6 orang (15%). Pada variabel sikap 33 orang (82,5%) yang memiliki sikap yang cukup, serta sikap kurang sebanyak 7 orang (17,5%) dan seluruh pekerja tidak memakai alat pelindung diri secara lengkap sebanyak 40 orang (100%). Pengetahuan mengenai penggunaan APD sudah baik (62,5%), sikap mengenai penggunaan APD sudah cukup (82,5%), tetapi dalam tindakan penggunaan alat pelindung diri masih buruk karena seluruh pekerja tidak memakai alat pelindung diri (APD) secara lengkap (100%). Diharapkan bagi Primkopti dan Kepala Pabrik untuk memenuhi penyediaan alat pelindung diri secara lengkap sesuai dengan jenis pekerjaannya serta melakukan penyuluhan rutin mengenai pentingnya penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD) pada saat bekerja untuk meningkatkan sikap positif pekerja.---BPS recorded that there are 77.91 million (59.45%) Indonesians who work in the informal sector. The type of research used is quantitative research by looking at the description, knowledge, attitudes and actions of using PPE. This research has been reviewed and obtained the feasibility of research ethics by the ethics committee of the UMJ Faculty of Public Health with the ethics number No. 10.490..B/KEPK-FKMUMJ/V/2022. The sample of this study were all workers in the Primkopti Tofu Factory as many as 40 people. The sampling technique used was Total Sampling. The study showed that in the knowledge variable there were 25 people (62.5%) who had good knowledge, 9 people (22.5%), and 6 (15%). In the attitude variable, 33 people (82.5%) had sufficient attitudes, as well as 7 people (17.5%) lacking attitudes and all workers did not wear complete personal protective equipment as many as 40 people (100%). Knowledge about the use of PPE is good (62.5%), attitudes regarding the use of PPE are sufficient (82.5%), but in the act of using personal protective equipment it is still bad because all workers do not wear complete personal protective equipment (PPE) (100%). It is expected for Primkopti and the Head of the Factory to provide complete personal protective equipment according to the type of work and carry out regular counseling about the importance of using personal protective equipment (PPE) at work to increase the positive attitude of workers.

The parameters of human skin health can be assessed from the level of skin hydration. Skin hydration level is the water content in the stratum corneum which is strongly influenced by natural moisturizing factor (NMF) and intercellular lipids. These components can be disrupted when exposed to irritants, such as detergents, too acidic substances, and so on. This condition can cause a decrease in skin hydration levels and becomes inactive, thereby it increases the skin's sensitivity to exogenous factors and infections. Traditional tofu factory workers are workers who have a risk of experiencing a decrease in skin hydration levels due to frequent exposure to tofu-making ingredients with an acidic pH. In Matraman Sub-district, East Jakarta, there are several tofu factories with the manufacturing process that is still processed traditionally. This descriptive observational study with a cross-sectional design aims to determine the overview of hand skin hydration levels in tofu-making workers located in the traditional tofu factory at Matraman District, East Jakarta. So that the workers and factory owners are expected to improve the quality of their workers. Data were obtained by measuring skin hydration levels in 100 study subjects using SK-IV corneometer and filling out questionnaires. Results: an overview of the skin hydration levels of right-handed and left-handed subjects with an average of 20,42% (very dry skin). The average level of skin hydration was lowest in the 60-70 year age group (19,35%), and in the 20-30 year age group (21,65%) and the male group had higher levels (20,59%). Level measurement at the hand location was obtained very dry skin category on the back of the right hand (100%). The more frequent of the frequency exposure to chemicals, the lower the hydration level of the skin (20,08%).
