“…They also found that three common synthetic hydrograph methods did not reproduce the results of the kinematic wave models for T c , Q p , and T p nearly as well as the proposed method. Shen et al [1990] then derived physically based flood frequency curves which include infiltration considerations. It was found that soil type and initial soil moisture conditions exert the greatest influence on flood frequency distributions with basin shape and slope playing secondary roles.…”
