Pisa-Like: Football Context in Asian Games

Abstract: This study aimed to develop a set of PISA-like mathematics problems on uncertainty and data content using football as a context which was valid, practical and had potential effects on students’ mathematical literacy ability. The method used in this study is design research with development studies type which had two stage: the preliminary and formative evaluation. Tenth-grade students of senior high schools in Palembang were involved in this research. This study produced a set of PISA-like mathematics problems… Show more

“…It means there are no problems with the three mathematical abilities. This is in line with the results of research on PISA by Permatasari, Putri, & Zulkardi (2018) which states that the results of learning show that almost all students are able to solve problems well and involve their mathematical literacy skills, such as mathematical ability, representation, and communication.…”

“…Indonesian students' weak performance in PISA tasks was one of the bases for the implementation of the 2013 curriculum, which aims for students to study in line with what has been tested at the international level (MoEC, 2018;Permatasari, Putri, & Zulkardi, 2018). Learning theory, which links mathematics to all stages of complexity, requires creating a variety of situations that are similar to students' everyday lives, commonly known as Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI; Nusantara & Putri, 2018;Putri, 2011;Roni, Zulkardi, & Putri, 2017;Zulkardi & Putri, 2019;Zulkardi, Putri, & Wijaya, 2020).…”

“…In the prototyping stage, the evaluation flow using formative evaluation, the phases cover self-evaluation, expert review and one-toone, and small group, as well as the field test. However, the previous stages are using the stages of assessment (Tessmer, 1993;Zulkardi, 2006;Permatasari, Putri, & Zulkardi, 2018).…”
