Die Struktur der Titelverbindung (4) wurde bei -120°C rontgenographisch bestimmt und bis zum R-Wert von 0.024 verfeinert (933 Reflexe, Raumgruppe P2,, Z = 2). 4 ist nahezu planar. Die Estergruppen stehen zueinander in trans-Stellung und besitzen 2-Konformation. Das IRSpektrum wird zugeordnet. The ester groups are in trans position and have normal Z conformation. The IR spectrum has been assigned. Schwingungsspektroskopische '. ') und rontgenographische -'I Untersuchungen an Thiooxalatanionen (1) und Salzen der Thiooxalsaure-S-methylester (2) haben gezeigt, daB erstere ein nichtebenes Molekulgeriist mit Interplanarwinkeln bis zu 90" besitzen, letztere praktisch planar sind. Diester der Oxalsaure'' und S, S'-Diester der 1,2-Dithiooxalsaure 9 , l o ) liegen in planarer trans-Konformation vor. Nach den schwingungsspektroskopischen und Dipol-Messungen von VoJ und Mitarb.an Monothiooxalsaure-und 1,l-Dithiooxalsaure-0,s-diestern (3), liegen in Losung Z-und E-konfigurierte Estergruppen bei weitgehend unbehinderter Rotation um die zentrale C -C-Bindung nebeneinander.Ester der Trithiooxalsaure sind bisher in der Literatur nicht beschrieben.
