“…The changes in ESV were mainly due to unreasonable land use planning and low land utilization rate, which led to the rapid growth of built-up land at the expense of forest land, cultivated land, and grassland. Land use intensity has a significant negative relationship with ESV [ 57 ]. Socio-economic development led to dramatic changes in land use structure, and the increase in land use intensity was the direct cause of ESV degradation [ 58 , 59 ].…”

“…Socioeconomic and natural environmental drivers were extracted by a random forest model (Song et al, 2015), the expansion probability of land use from 1995 to 2005 was obtained, and the expansion probability was applied to the simulation of land use change from 2005 to 2015 to test the consistency between simulated data and real data and verify the reliability of land expansion probability. Based on the probability of land expansion and Markov land change data (Li et al, 2022), the characteristics of land use change in 2035 were predicted. Finally, the multiscenario land prediction data were used to analyze the ESs, and the characteristics of different land use change patterns were compared to explore the land use change patterns based on ES optimization.…”

“…Since then, research on the relationship between land use change and ESs (Cui et al, 2015; Liu et al, 2021; Qiu et al, 2021; Wang, Wang, et al, 2022) has become popular in academia, and the research results have been fruitful. In general, under the dual effects of economic growth and social progress, the value of ESs mostly presents a downward trend (Song & Deng, 2017), especially in regions with rapid economic development, and rapid urbanization is the main factor leading to the decline in the value of ESs (Gao et al, 2021; Li et al, 2022; Qiu et al, 2021). For single ES value changes, peat wetlands are an important carbon storage (CS) place globally, but with the aggravation of the global greenhouse effect, the CS capacity reveals a declining trend (Cui et al, 2015).…”
