Preman Pensiun dan Kuasa Agama: Semiotika Visual Komunikasi Religius dalam Episode “Kembali Ke Fitri”

Abstract: This study aims to find answers and interpretations of the image symbols in the film Preman Pensiun edition of “Kembali ke Fitri”. Using an interpretive constructive paradigm, using Foucault's semiotic approach. Data collection comes from pieces of the film scene. The results show that although the film is not a propaganda film or a religious film and the retired thugs do not pretend to be a propaganda film, the strength of religion in human life makes the symbols of nature in the film very strong.
