“…Thus, accurate clinical staging is difficult even using various image diagnoses such as PDG PET because it is not always correlated with the actual pathological stage, and it remains very important to predict the accurate lymph nodal extension preoperatively to determine the surgical indication. Previously, we have reported that preoperative serum sialyl Lewis X (SLX) is useful for the prediction of pathological nodal extension and survival in SCLC [39]. The present study demonstrated that A B serum CPLX2 levels in high grade LNETs were significantly elevated as compared to NSCLCs and NCs.…”

“…The determined SialylLewis x structure here is in agreement with previous studies that reported the presence of SialylLewis x in malignancies [ 15 22 ]. SialylLewis x is an adhesion molecule present on O-and N-linked oligosaccharides, and is therefore of great significance in cell-cell recognition [ 23 ]. Importantly, SialylLewis x is thought to be associated with metastatic ability of tumor cells, and has the potential to be used as a marker for pathological tumor extensiveness, e.g., nodal extension or distant metastasis [ 24 ].…”

“…A drought event is defined when SPI (3) reaches a value of −0.5 or less (Xu and Luo, 2019). Three drought conditions from mild (D_I), moderate (D_II) to severe (D_III) are defined using different SPI (3) thresholds (Thomas et al, 1993) (Table 2).…”
