The influences of “Z” factor for the strength of interphase layers on the tensile strength of polymer nanocomposites and various interphase properties are explained applying three approaches including developed Leidner‐Woodhams, Pukanszky, and Callister‐Rethwisch models. All models and equations for interphase parameters are developed based on a multi‐layered interphase in different polymer nanocomposites. The calculations reveal that the role of “Z” factor is highlighted when much volume fraction of nanofiller (
ϕnormalf) is used attributed to the high probability of nanoparticles agglomeration and poor interfacial properties in this condition. However, both “
ϕnormalf” and “Z” parameters positively affect the tensile strength. Additionally, the highest values of interphase properties including “B” in Pukanszky and “s” in Callister‐Rethwisch models are achieved by the high levels of nanofiller strength and “Z” factor.
