Assim, acredita-se que a representação dos prematuros pode variar de acordo com o acesso da população ao pré-natal, à assistência obstétrica e a fatores socioeconômicos 9,14,15 A predominância de prematuros nesta pesquisa pode ser justificada pela grande participação de cesáreas, em que foram encontrados valores de 69,5% entre os partos, associado também à grande representatividade do desconforto respiratório, que tem relação com recém-nascidos prematuros já comprovada no literatura médica. Além disso, cabe questionar se os elevados números de prematuridade nesta unidade de terapia intensiva estariam associados ao período de internação, que foram estudados durante a pandemia da COVID-19.…”
