“…Thus, although medical students gain experience and confidence in their ability to interpret scientific literature, a lack of writing experience is evident upon their graduation. Medical students surveyed in the present report studied under a Lecture Based Learning (LBL) curriculum, and it has been shown that Problem Based Learning (PBL) leads to more confidence in conducting research and writing scientific papers, as this method encourages independent learning (13) . Nevertheless, fourth-year students in both courses felt more capable of interpreting and writing a scientific paper by themselves than those just entering college, demonstrating that graduate school may stimulate students' self-confidence, although in a limited degree.…”
