The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the escape gap of cylinder folding trap on catch per unit effort (CPUE), trap rate, composition, and size of fish caught in the coastal waters of Tuban Regency. The research was conducted in November 2019 by deploying 60 units in ten experimental fishing trips at different locations. The traps were 20 units without escape gap, 20 units with an escape gap of 3 cm x 6 cm, and 20 units with an escape gap of 4 cm x 7 cm. Overall, the experiments resulted in a collection of 22 species of marine organisms, such as swimming crabs (33% of total weight), snails, shrimps, crabs, fishes (55% of total weight), and cuttlefish. The highest CPUE was found for the traps with escape gaps of 4 cm x 7 cm, i.e., 9.18 gr/trap/trip. There was no significant difference in the total catch, the weight of catches, trap rate, and catch per unit effort (CPUE) among the three types of traps.

Umpan merupakan salah satu alat bantu yang berpengaruh pada daya tarik dan rangsangan ikan dalam kegiatan pemancingan ikan. Umpan jig adalah umpan buatan yang dapat memicu perubahan pola aliran arus air yang menjadi daya tarik ikan untuk memangsa jig. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan hasil pengaruh panjang jig terhadap perubahan pola aliran fluida. Metode penelitian menggunakan eksperimen dimana terdapat 3 variasi panjang 5,5; 6,5; dan 7 cm dengan lebar 1 cm dan tebal 1 cm. Sudut posisi jig yaitu 0⁰, 15⁰, 30⁰, 45⁰, 60⁰, dan 90⁰. Fluida yang digunakan adalah air tawar. Jenis aliran dikondisikan laminer dengan menggunakan debit sebesar 76,60 liter per/detik. Gerakan jig dibuat naik turun menggunakan prinsip mekanisme engkol dengan sumber gerak motor listrik. Analisis pola aliran menggunakan data visual yang direkam dengan kamera dan dilakukan pengukuran dimensi menggunakan software Kinovea 08.15. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa panjang dan sudut posisi jig berpengaruh terhadap perubahan pola aliran yang terjadi. Hasil penelitian juga mengungkap mekanisme perubahan pola aliran yang terjadi.

An UMKM (micro, small and medium scale business) in the city of Pangkalpinang, Province of Kep. Bangka Belitung, with the trademark "kebajig Lure", produces metal jigs or artificial/fake bait made of metal. One of the problems in the process of making metal jigs at UMKM is bending the wire on the metal jig, because the bending process uses loop pliers which causes the wire to be made to be non-uniform (where 10 wires, below 50% of the wire deviates from tolerance) so that the stray wire must be repaired first before the metal jig molding process. In addition, the bending time of 1 piece of wire takes about 80 seconds. This study aims to accelerate the metal jig bending process and to obtain a uniform wire with a deviation of ± 0.2 mm. After conducting the survey and initial analysis, the making of tools for bending wire is the solution. In the process of making these tools, the VDI 2222 design method is used, starting from planning, conceptualizing, designing, and finally finishing. Then carried out the process of making tools and testing wire bending. The results of the experiments conducted showed that the uniformity level of the metal jig wire was around 70% and the time required in the 1-wire bending process was ± 10 seconds, with an efficiency of ± 70 seconds from the previous process. And in the metal jig molding process, the wire repaired before the molding process is only about 30%.
