Prophetic Leadership dan Implementasinya dalam Lembaga Pendidikan Islam

Abstract

Humans naturally have the legitimacy to carry out their role as leaders (caliphs) on earth. The essence of leadership has been practiced by the prophets, especially the prophet Muhammad who was based on his prophetic qualities, namely; shiddiq, amanah, tablig, fathanah. The values of prophetic leadership have been implemented perfectly by the Prophet Muhammad since building the civilization of the inhabitants of Mecca at that time. There are three main things to become the prophetic leadership legacy when building the city of Mecca, namely: tauhidul illah, tauhidul ummah and tauhidul hukumah. Therefore, as an educational institution that carries the prophetic mission of humanization, liberation, and transcendence, Islamic Education institutions should be able to implement the values of prophetic leadership and make it a key principle in carrying out the educational process.Abstrak: Manusia secara kodrati telah mendapatkan legitimasi untuk menjalankan perannya sebagai pemimpin (khalifah) di muka bumi, tanpa mengabaikan tugas penghambaannya kepada Allah sebagai tujuan yang esensial. Esensi kepemimpinan telah dipraktikkan oleh para nabi terutama nabi Muhammad SAW yang dilandasi dengan sifat-sifat kenabiannya, yaitu; shiddiq, amanah, tablig, fathanah. Secara konseptual dikenal dengan kepemimpinan profetik. Nilai-nilai kepemimpinan profetik telah diterapkan secara paripurna oleh Rasulullah SAW sejak membangun peradaban penduduk Mekkah pada saat itu. Ada tiga hal pokok yang menjadi legacy kepemipinan profetik Rasulullah saat membangun kota Mekah yaitu : tauhidul illah, tauhidul ummah dan tauhidul hukumah. Oleh karena itu, sebagai institusi pendidikan yang mengemban misi profetik humanisasi, liberasi dan transendensi, lembaga Pendidikan Islam sepatutnya mampu mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai kepemimpinan profetik dan menjadikannya sebagai prinsip utama dalam menjalankan proses pendidikan.
