Proposal of the Sound Insulating Measures for Vibrational Sorter and Verification of the Effectiveness Measures

Abstract: The paper describes a specific design of the sound insulating enclosure of a vibrating sorter. Recycling aspects have been taken into account when designing the enclosure, because recycled foam has been applied as a sound-absorbing material. An acoustic camera was used to measure, analyze, evaluate and to localise and identify sound sources. The visualization method was used to locate the critical locations of the device and then quantify them. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed enclosure, the measu… Show more

“…3, Fig. 4) is made up of a driving flange (1), driven flange (2), pneumatic flexible elements (4), curved hollow cases ( 5), curved piston bodies (3), fastening flanges ( 6) and valves (7). The compression volume of the coupling is created of two pneumatic flexible elements (4), which are placed motionlessly in the hollow cases (5), which are attached to the driven flange (2).…”

“…Operating conditions of all important machines should be thoroughly analysed and evaluated. These precautions should increase their reliability, predict possible failures and prevent possible production losses [4][5][6][7][8]10,11,[13][14][15]17].…”

“…Nowadays, the reduction of vibration and noise of machines is a very important task, mainly in terms of human health, comfort and the lifetime and safety of machines, for example [6,9,14,12]. Great emphasis is placed on the use of modern progressive technologies in order to improve electric and combustion engines for efficiency, better emissions and dynamics, for example [4,5,10].…”
