Abstract:The machanisms that mediate the actions of bradykinin on ureteral motility are poorly defined and mediation via prostaglandins has not been examined. Therefore, the effects of bradykinin on contractility and the possible mediator role of prostaglandins have been investigated in sheep ureter. At the concentrations of 10-8, 10-7 and 10-6M, bradykinin elicited marked reductions in contractile force. When ureteral strips were treated separately with 10-6M indomethacín, 2… Show more
Mean relaxation obtained by diclofenac sodium and papaverine were respectively 43.19% and 28.96%. Our study showed that diclofenac sodium may be more potent than papaverine in the treatment of renal colic.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
