“…Moreover, the results of Yang et al demonstrated that pyridoxine (vitamin B6) could selectively induce monocyte macrophages to undergo GSDME‐mediated pyroptosis. This effect could subsequently promote a wider inflammatory response for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) 63 …”

“…Recently, it has been shown that pyridoxine, an essential nutrient for the normal functioning of many biological systems, not only functions as vitamin B6 but also induces apoptosis of U937 cells or selectively activates apoptosis of THP‐1 cells through caspase‐8/3 and GSDME‐dependent pyroptosis. Yang et al 65 found that treatment with pyridoxine in combination with a caspase inhibitor to inhibit caspase‐8 induced a switch in monocyte death from apoptosis or pyroptosis to necroptosis. Consequently, necroptosis caused severe damage to membrane permeability, resulting in a high sensitivity of monocytes to drugs and the release of many inflammatory factors involved in the antitumor immune response.…”

“…In addition, TEM indicates the location of various cellular structures with nanometer range resolution 64 , 65 . The entire cell death process can also be precisely observed and significantly distinguished from other cell death processes using automated live cell imagers 66 . For example, RAW-asc cells undergo pyroptosis after LPS + nigericin treatment 21 .…”
