“…In particular, a previous work, consisting in a set of integral, small-scale experiments of gamma heating measurements, using different kinds of Thermo-Luminescent Detectors (TLD), has been carried out in the UO 2 core of the MINERVE research reactor at the CEA Cadarache in 2006 [3]. The comparison between calculated and measured absorbed doses in TLD has shown that calculation constantly underestimates by about 25% the measurements with an uncertainty of about 15% (k=2).…”

“…During the ADAPh program (2003)(2004)(2005)(2006), gamma heating measurements were carried out in the EOLE [39] and MINERVE [40] reactors by using TLDs and a small-volume ionization chamber. This program focused on obtaining relevant experimental data to qualify the design calculation model of the future irradiation reactor, Jules Horowitz (JHR).…”

“…Due to the JHR specific geometry and choice of materials, feedback on photon-heating calculations and its uncertainty was limited and mainly based on work conducted in 2006 during the ADAPH experiment in CEA Cadarache [2,3]. A new experiment, AMMON [4], was therefore carried out from late 2010 to early 2013 in the EOLE critical mock-up at CEA Cadarache.…”
